INTRODUCING RUSS
Russ has been in the mountains from an early age. His first summit he climbed was Moel Famau in Wales when he was a small boy in junior school, beating the teacher to the top he was instantly hooked. This led to more adventures in the mountains of the UK and a bit of tree climbing! He left school at 16 and started a career in the Royal Navy as a chef, after serving his time his love for the mountains was still strong and he continued to trek and climb for many years.
In 2010 he wanted to move into the outdoor adventure field and a friend suggested that he started his training with Mountain Training uk, this was the defining moment in his career choice and the rest is sort of history.
Russ has a deep-rooted passion for the outdoors and the mountain environment, his love of passing on skills and information to clients is infectious, he has climbed in many mountain areas of the world from the French Alps, Nepal, South America, and Africa to trekking in Peru, Iceland, Eswatini, Morocco and Europe. He has worked with both Adults and Children in many locations and environments, passing on all he has learned throughout the years. He is also a full member of MTuK and an Aspirant member of BAIML.
