A 7 day expedition in magical, mysterious and stimulating Morocco with the aim of a winter ascent of Mount Toubkal. At 4200m Toubkal is the highest mountain in North Africa and forms the Jewel in the Atlas mountain range. Spend time in Marrakesh, walk through deep valleys, experience the culture and food, and spend time with the Berber people in high mountain villages. Toubkal is a non technical mountain meaning there are no glaciers or seracs and the use of a rope is generally not required, so is an ideal first high altitude peak to climb. Crampon and mountaineering axe training is given during the expedition, so this trip is within the ability of a good summer/winter hill walker. During the expedition the team will complete treks around the Mizane Valley, Tizi Mzik (2600m) and Tizi nOuagane (3735m) getting us ready for our ascent well acclimatised
